Each One Reach One seeks actors to lend their talents and hearts to bring our young writers’ plays to life! If you’re a professional actor, here’s a way for you to help these young men and women and have a voice in their community. Performers rehearse the young writers’ plays (with the young writers in attendance), share dinner with them and their mentors, perform the staged readings before an invited audience of family, peers, facility staff and the general public and join the celebration following the performance. You’ll discover that these young writers have talent, and that their stories define these young people from a very different perspective than that portrayed in the media. Your performance provides recognition that what they say is important and is often the first time they experience public success. Hours: Performers commit to a half-day for each program on the last day of the two-week session, typically a Saturday from 4pm to 8pm.Each One Reach One offers a stipend to all of the actor participants based upon their experience.
