KIS educates and provides tools to help youth manage their own risks, seek testing, and treatment, and explore topics including sex and pregnancy myths, consequences of casual sex, negotiating safer-sex, tattooing, HIV, date rape, and sexual assault. The program is specifically developed for young males detained in long-term facilities and/or residential placement camps. The curriculum was designed specifically for detained youth by former system users and health educators so that it is accessible, appropriate and beneficially for the youth participants. If you are interested in bringing KIS to your facility or community school, please contact Harold Atkins at harold@eoro.org or 650-225-9030. |
